Mr. Spitchley died Friday (Apr 20, 2007) at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 9, 1916 in Copiah County, Miss., to Dewitt and Sara E. Ainsworth Spitchley. He lived most of his life in Palestine and was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God. He was a plumber for A.M. Burns & Murdaughs and worked for Glass Containers until retiring in 1977.
Mr. Spitchley is survived by his wife, Carol Staples Spitchley; a step-son, Gary Woolsey; brothers, Harold Spitchley of Longbeach, Miss., Wilton Spitchley and Pat Spitchley, both of Hazlehurst, Miss.; and a sister, Mrs. L.Q. Wright of Hazlehurst, Miss.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
