Thomas Jackson was born in 1844 in Tennessee to the parents of Solomon and Elizabeth Perry. The Perry's moved to Texas in the 1850's to Tyler, Smith, Texas. He is the husband to Harriet Amanda (Raines), Dulcea (Waldrop) and Steve Anna (Gammons).
His wife Harriet Amanda fell ill and died on a wagon trail around LaRue, Henderson, Texas. Thomas being a machinist, made a headstone for her, but owners of the property now, have moved the headstone to make way of a deer fence.
His children from Harriet are Margrett Elizabeth (Lewis), John Thomas, William Solomon, Ida (Cox), James H, Joseph Oliver, and Lewis R Perry.
His children from Dulcea are Andrew Jackson, Bee, Harry Tracy, Ada (Rogers) Perry.
His children from Steve Anna are Fenia, Dewey, Barney, Mandy E (Webb)
He served in the Civil War for the confederate side as a lieutenant.
