Christoph Adam Embich emigrated with his wife from Germany via Rotterdam, Holland, and immigrated to Pennsylvania Colony in September, 1752. He fought with the Pennsylvania Militia during the American Revolution. A carpenter by trade, as were several of his sons, Christoph was married to Maria Elisabetha Kuder with whom he had ten children: Catharine Elizabeth; Johann Jacob; Johann Christopher; Maria Barbara; Johann Bernhard; Johann Phillip; Eva Catharine; Johann Heinrich; Johann Friedrich; and Elizabeth Embich. He was buried in 1783 in the Salem Lutheran Churchyard then, about 1892, was re-interred at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
