MY DZIA DZIA
m. Josephine Malska
Son of Andrew Kujda and Kalaryna Sopczenska Father of Andrew Kujda, Louis Kujda, Walter Kujda and Robert Kujda. Dzia Dzia of several grandchildren.
This is my grandfather or Dzia Dzia as we called him. He was born in Poland and came to the United States at 22 years old on a ship called the Main.
Dzia Dzia was a very quiet man and didn't say to much of anything. He did learn English and became a citizen of the US.
I remember sometime on a Sunday he would take us for a ride in his 1929 Plymouth Car. He only owned two cars that we ever knew of. The 1929 Plymouth and a Willys. We were never allowed to talk when we got in the car. We knew if we did he would not be taking us for a ride anymore so we did not talk. It was just nice to get that half hour or so ride though.
My Dzia Dzia was the first death in our family that we could remember and he passed away on my birthday. Needless to say every year on my birthday that is what I think of the most.
We loved our Dzia Dzia and miss him very much.
I want to thank all of you who have visited my Dzia Dzia's Memorial. I try to thank you personally but sometime I miss it or for other reasons I don't get to it. It is very much appreciated though.
