Brodie Ray Aschenbrenner of Henderson, Nev., became one of God's angels Wednesday, June 15, 2011.
He was born in Butte, to Arica Foster and Dusty Aschenbrenner on Dec. 30, 2008. His short time in this world was filled with love and laughter.
Brodie's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understand that the quality of existence far exceeds quantity of time in which you live it. His bubbly laughter and exuberant personality lit up any room he was in.
Brodie loved animals and spent countless hours with his mother looking at the sharks and the tigers on the Las Vegas Strip. He was full of energy and we can learn from him to live each moment to the absolute fullest. His life taught us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create memories that will carry through this life.
He was especially close with his cousins; they all loved to play games at the park, dance, sing songs and pretend to be puppies. Ring-around-the-rosie always had him giggling and bursting with laughter. He enjoyed spending time at the beach with the family and playing in the sandbox with his "best friend," Lily. He enjoyed pretending to be a firefighter when he visited his father in Montana. He loved to draw on everything except paper, and have his Papa read books to him. But once it was bedtime, he was comfortable only sitting on his Nana's lap watching "the Wiggles."
But overall, the most important person in Brodie's life was his mother. She held him tight through all his tears and any time he was sick. He ran her house and she enjoyed every second. She danced around the room and sang "mmm-at, went the little green frog" to hear that unmistakable laughter that defined Brodie. They were inseparable through his short life.
With Brodie's passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated, although we will miss him every day, especially the laughter that filled any room; he will remain forever in our hearts. Through his teaching about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and this is what will carry his mother through her life.
Brodie leaves behind many people that loved him. He is survived by his parents, Arica Foster of Henderson and Dusty Aschenbrenner of Butte; grandparents, Brad and Merridee Moshier of Henderson and Ron and Marlene Aschenbrenner of Butte and Dave and Juanita Foster of Henderson; great grandmother Sharon Welch.
