Greenwood (Leflore County)
Harry was the youngest of nine children born to James William Mullen and Corro Lee Alderson Mullen. He had a winning smile and a giving personality. My grandmother once commented about how much she liked his shirt, and he took it off and gave it to her.
Harry loved to fish and was very good at cooking them, too.
He is greatly loved and missed by his family.
Harry Stanley Mullen, 29, of McCarley died Tuesday, July 6 in Leflore County. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. James W. Mullen of McCarley; five sisters, Mrs. Patsy Bamberg, Mrs. Betty Lane Flynn, Mrs. Linda Hathcock, all of Winona, and Mrs. Ina Jo Maxie and Mrs. Rosemary Hooks of Carrollton; three brothers, James E. Mullen and Freddie Mullen of McCarley, and Bobbie Mullen of Greenwood.
Funeral services were held at the McCarley Methodist Church at 2p.m. on Sunday, July 11, with the Rev. James Townsend and Rev. Bill Patten officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gene Hooks, John Hooks, Larry Bamberg, Neil Mullen, Tim Mullen, and Raymond Lawrence.
