Charles "Buster" Jolly, 75 yrs old, of Granite City IL. passed away Wednesday, May 5, 1993, at his home. He had been sick for six months. I found my dad when I was around 35 years old. I found my father in Granite City IL, by tracking his Military number, then his social security number. I was two years old when my mother left. I didn't know him very long. Born in Vanduser, MO., he lived in Granite City for 55 years. He was retired and had worked for 35 years as a boilermaker at St. Louis Metalizing Co. He was a member of the Boilermakers Local 27. He was a veteran of the US Navy and the Pentecostal faith. Survivers include his wife, Mildred G. (Agers) Jolly, whom he married in June 1950; three sons Raymond Duvall of Kingburg NJ, Michael Jolly of Rocky Mount, NC, and Brian Jolly of Granite City; two daughters, Barbara Hunt of Lincoln, Neb., and Patricia Harper of Granite City; two brothers, Raymond Jolly and James Jolly, both of Clarksville, Tenn; three sisters, Jeanette Marshall of Sikeston, MO., Juanita Martin of Mount Vernon, ILL. and Jewel Agers of Granite City.
Final note: I am so very happy that I found and got to know this very gentle man and I was very surprised that this only child found out he had a sister and a brother in Granite City IL.
Special Thank you:
I want to thank Karen so very much for adding a red heart to my father's memorial. I wanted to write and thank you, but no way to write. This means a lot to me. Thank you Karen.
