Mary Ann Wynn was married to Littleberry Turner in Sussexx County Virginia, on April 3, 1815. Littleberry was the last son of James and Francis Turner, born April 18, 1788.
About November of 1833, the families of Littleberry Turner and Dennis Wheelhouse, along with several other families, began their journey from Virginia to Tennessee, by oxcart, to make a new life for themselves. They stopped off in Rutherford County, Tennessee, apending the night near Cresent, as there was a spring there. The next day, they finished their journey, and settled in the 9th district of Bedford County, near Unionville. Their new homes were in Center Grove, Longview and Midland area.
Mary Ann and Littleberry had the following children: James, b. 1827,Monroe, 1816, Roberta, 1825, Mary Frances, b. 1819, and Martha Ann, b. 1921. Later, two young girls were lost by death. Their granddaughter, Roberta Frances Turner, daughter of Monroe Washington, would marry Joshua Wheelhouse, a son of Dennis Wheelhouse, another of the families that came with them from Virginia. It is through them, my family line decended.
Mary Ann and Littleberry lived there in Bedford County the remainder of their years and are presumed buried in unmarked graves near their home.
