Manchester Times
JANES, Goldie Imogene, age 77, a resident of Manchester, died Wednesday evening, January 23, 2008 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville after an extended illness. She was born December 9, 1930 in Adair County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Hallie Coomer and Diena Akins Coomer. She was a homemaker devoted to her family and dedicated to spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed seamstress work and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Ennis. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Reverend Bobby Janes of Manchester; three children, Dr. Rex L. Janes and wife, Marilyn of Murfreesboro, Debra Wagoner and husband, Richard of Beckley, West Virginia and Brenda Clark and husband, Dennis of Manchester; six grandchildren, Cheryl Janes, Tiffany Wagoner, Cynthia Janes, Alison Clark and husband, Richard, Nicholas Wagoner and wife, Rachel, and Amy Clark; one great-granddaughter, Melanie Sophia Isabel Wagoner. Also surviving is a sister, Barbara Taylor of Adair, Kentucky, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Hodge and Reverend Jay Archer officiating.
