Sarah Oldrin. Her name is also written as "Sarah Olderon" and "Sarah Olderen".

Parents:
Amy X (1780-1853) and Captain William Oldren (1772-1858).

Birth:
She was born in Setauket, Nassau County, Long Island, New York around 1816.

Marriage:
Sarah married Abraham Kershaw (1815-c1851) around 1834 and they may have had the ceremony at the Reformed Dutch Church in Wolver Hollow, Nassau County, Long Island because there is an Abraham Kershaw there in the early 1800s.

Manhattan, New York:
By 1850 the family was living in Manhattan and they appear in the census. By 1872 she was living with her children in Somerville, New Jersey based on bank records for Anna, her daughter.

Children:
Her children still living between the years 1850-1872 included: Mary E. Kershaw (1835-?); Isaac Kershaw (1840-?); Sarah Kershaw (1843-1922) Williamson Young; Amy O. Kershaw (1847-1930) who married Jerome N. Rappleyea (1831-1896); and Peter Kershaw (1849-bef1872).

Death of husband:
Her husband died sometime around 1851, either in New York City, New York; in Jersey City, New Jersey; or in Somerville, New Jersey. He may have died on his way to California.

Death:
She died in Bridgewater Township, Somerset County, New Jersey on November 22, 1894 of "organic disease of the heart".

Burial:
Castner-Compton Cemetery, Martinsville, Somerset County, New Jersey. On her death certificate it is listed as "Compton Burying Ground".

Relationship:
Anna Augusta Kershaw (1841-1931) was the third great-grandmother of Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ).
