Hastings — EVA LILLEY was born May 29, 1913, in Temple, Okla., to James Elexander "Jim" and Dottie Sanders Armstrong. She passed from this life Sunday, April 12, 2009, at Mercy Hospital, at the age of 95.
She was a homemaker and a tailor for many years. She tailored men's clothing for many years. Even after she retired, she continued to tailor.
She and John B. Lilley were married in Hastings on Dec. 22, 1928. He preceded her in death in November 1995.
She was a member of Hastings Baptist Church, and a founder of the Ferguson Home Demonstration Club.
She is survived by three daughters, Eva Joyce Massery and husband Kenneth of Georgetown, Texas, Melba Janett Palmer of Cashion, and Dottie May Hall and her husband Robert of Bellevue, Neb.; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Lilley of Hastings; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; one brother; two half-sisters; one half-brother; a son, Johnny Dewayne Lilley; two sons-in-law, J.C. Palmer and Clarence Niblett; and a grandson, Todd Lilley.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 15, at 2 p.m. in Hastings Baptist Church, with Charles McConnell officiating. Burial will be in Hastings Cemetery under direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
