Effie Malvina Maxwell is the daughter of James Martin Maxwell and Esther A. Shaffer. She married Cornelius (also spelt Curnealous) Hook on 25 Dec 1895. Together, they had the following children: Hazel E., Clifford E., Edith M., Howard James, Bessie M., Edwin Cornelius and Louis Emmitt. Effie died of breast cancer on 29 Oct 1942 in Columbus, Franklin, Ohio. She was buried on 2 Nov 1942 at Green Lawn Cemetery - per her death certificate.
