Noble Ray Hughart, 69, of Charleston, Died
Thursday, March 18, 1993, in Salem, Va., Veterans
Administration Medical Center after a long illness. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving: brothers, Glenn Hughart and Lowell "Shorty" Hughart, of Tuppers Creek, Ira Hughart of Charleston; sisters, Edith West of Fredericksburg, Va., Gale Harrison of Cross Lanes, Helen Jones and Opal Tyler, of Tuppers Creek, Beatrice Hughart of Dunbar Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Walker Chapel Church, Tuppers Creek, with the Rev. Robert Fields officiating. Burial will be in John D. Hughart Cemetery, Tuppers Creek.

Noble enlisted on the U.S. Army on June 4, 1943 at Huntington, Cabell Co., WV. He served in the Signal Corps in England.

Noble was severely injured on Oct. 4, 1947 when a truck he was riding in turned over near Sugar Creek on Sissonville Rd. He was thrown from the truck and dragged by another car. He was in critical condition and unconscious and sufferd severe head injuries. He was taken to Staats Hospital by a Noble Long ambulance.
