Aaron was the "love child" of Gayla Roche' Gewock (a single mother) and Michael Lloyd Skinner. He was born in Hollywood, California into the Hippy movement. He had an older brother, John Michael Gewock (also deceased).
Aaron turned 1 year old in the Haight Ashbury district of San Fransisco. He attended "love-ins", concerts and "Peace Marches". From age 3 through 5 he lived in Solvang, California where he attended Kindergarten.
At 5 years old Aaron's mom moved the family to Ketchum, Idaho where he learned how to snow ski. He attended Hemingway Elementary School and then Wood River Junior High and High school.
In 1983 Aaron moved to Saba Rock, with his mom, in the British Virgin Islands and started working in the SCUBA diving industry. His first position was "Compressor Operator" for Kilbride's Underwater Tours in North Sound, Virgin Gorda. By 1987 at 19 years old Aaron had worked his way up to SCUBA Instructor. During this time Aaron had moved back to Ketchum, Idaho for a short while. There he met and dated Johni Brazzell. They got pregnant and returned to the BVI where their son, Tyrel Johnathan Michael was born at Peebles Hospital on the island of Tortola.
In 1989 Aaron, now a single father, moved him and his son to the island of St. Croix where we found work as a SCUBA Instructor and a part time bartender. After three years on St. Croix Aaron decided he wanted to move state side to Arizona where he had extended family. He was only in Arizona 10 days before he had a fatal accident in his uncles borrowed car on August 25, 1992.
He had been on his way from home dropping his mom and his son off at the airport in Las Vegas. His mom had decided to take his 4 year old son back to the BVI while Aaron had a chance to get settled into a job and a place of his own to live.
During his short time here on earth Aaron was a wonderful father and a good son. He is truly missed by all who knew him.
