The owner and operator of Black's General Merchandise in Myra, WV, she was also postmistress of the Myra Post Office. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Eugene "RayGene" Black and her companion later in life, Walter "Pete" Stump. Survivors include a son, Alan C. Black of Charlotte, North Carolina; a daughter, Myra S. Elkins of Hamlin, West Virginia, one granddaughter, Nikki S. Clay of Hamlin, WV; her beloved Pomeranian, Sweet Pea; one brother, Don W. (Norma) Shanholtz of Williamsburg, PA; and one sister, Betty L. Adkins of New Hamlin, WV, and lots of nieces and nephews, friends and extended family.
