Nola my grandmother was a very strong presence in our family. As some would say say she ruled the roost.
Nola's husband preceded her in death by 7 years to the exact date and nearly even the exact time of death.
Thomas Jake "Tommie" Greenfield
They married and had two daughters, my mom Retta Gene and Madelyn Carol. They made their home in Grand Prairie Texas.
Mamaw left behind her daughters and four grandchildren. She also had three great grandchildren.
She loved her garden and had a green thumb. She grew the most beautiful roses anyone could imagine. Her home is still there and the memories linger as I drive by.
But it will never look the same after her passing.
