Tommie preceded his wife Nola Flowers Greenfield in death by 7 years to the exact date and nearly even the exact time of death.
My grandfather was such a sweet, calm reserved man. I can only remember seeing him angry a few times. He was a wonderful cabinet and furniture maker for that fact could make almost anything. He was a very handy man.
He worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps. He helped build Beavers Bend in Oklahoma and many other things around OK and TX.
He married Nola Flowers and they had two daughters. Retta Gene and Madelyn Carol.
Papaw had been very healthy his whole life. Then one day he was struck ill and diagnosed with cancer. He suffered with his radiation and chemotherepy and finally was overcome and lost his battle.
