Funeral services for Henry H. Kent, 85 years old, who died Wednesday at his home after a short illness, will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow at the Johnson & Hamilton Funeral Parlors. Burial will be at Washelli. Mr. Kent, who lived at 6250 20th Ave N.E., had been a resident of Seattle 58 years. He was a member of the government surveying party which mapped the Puget Sound area [c. 1880s] and also participated in the California and Alaska gold rushes. He was a member of the Pioneers of Washington and A.O.U.W. Surviving are three daughters, Blossom and Hazel Kent and Mrs. Ivy Bend Bochart [should be VanderBogart], and a brother, Harry B. Kent, all of Seattle.
*Note: The "Ivy Bend Bochart" mentioned in Henry's obituary actually was Ivy VanderBogart. Also, Harry B. Kent was Henry's son, not his brother.
