Mrs. Georgia Mae Clay Tuck of South Boston died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at Halifax Regional Hospital.
She was born in Halifax County, the daughter of the late Jesse Will Clay and Flossie Bell New Clay, and she was married to the late Thomas Howard Tuck.
She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Tuck is survived by one daughter, Vickie Tuck Conner and husband Kenneth of Halifax; one son, Tommy Lee Tuck and wife Sheila of Alton; one brother, Jesse Clay of Ringgold; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a devoted friend of 44 years, Glen Anderson of Halifax.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Tuck Wilmouth; one brother, Lacy Lee Clay; one sister, Gracie Clay Epperson; and one grandson, Thomas Howard Tuck.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frankie Reaves officiating. Burial will follow in the Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Scottsburg.
The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home Monday from 6-9 p.m. and other times at the home of Vickie and Kenneth Conner, 2057 Crawford Road, Halifax.
