Elmer Corder, 99 years of age, departed this life on Wednesday, April 1, 1998. He was a native of Somerset, Kentucky. Elmer and his wife; Bonnie K. Corder who proceded him in death were married on Oct. 7, 1923 in Slavans, Kentuckyy. They operated a small town general store (CORDERS STORE) in Somerset, Kentucky for some twenty years. Elmer was known by every one in the Pleasant Hill community. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

He was born on April 10, 1899, son of William Thomas Corder and Elizabeth Mathews Corder.

Funeral services were held in the chapel of the Hoyt G. Hicket & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, April 5, 1998 at 1:00 p.m. with burial in the Elk Spring Cemetery in Monticello, Kentucky.
