He was an active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, marrying fellow choir member Donna Deitz.

In addition to singing in the choir, he served as church treasurer for many years. Frank was known by friends and family as a person with a quick wit, a quiet sense of humor, and a gentle presence. He is survived by his parents, Frank and Betty Mumby of Jacksonville; his sisters Elizabeth Mumby and her husband Richard Kaufman of Cooper City; Jacqueline Haynes and her husband Woody Haynes of Jacksonville; and Pamela Mumby and her husband Robert Lundquist of Fort Collins, Colorado. He is also survived by his niece Sarah Mumby; his nephews Alexander Mumby, Nathan Lundquist, Joseph Haynes, Paul Haynes, and Jack Williams and Jack's fiancee Jennifer Mullis; and his great-niece Michelle Williams; Uncle and Aunt, Robert and Peggy Mumby and Family of Orlando. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church or the Environmental Defense Fund.
