Rosetta M. "Mama Rose" Bissol, a resident of Levittown, passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at Frankford Bucks Hospital. She was 80.
She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Bissol.
Born in Italy, Rose was a daughter of the late Francesco and Giovanna DiFluri DiBlasi.
Rose was the hardworking "Backbone" of the Mill Creek Inn, since 1972. She loved to cook and to see people enjoying her prepared foods. "Mama Rose" truly cared about people; she was "everyone's mother". She also was an avid gardener.
Rose is survived by four daughters, Lucy Ann Newman, Joanne Brett, Congetta Mazur, and Rosetta Buselli; two sons, Joseph and Frank Bissol; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Antoinetta Sorrentino, Ida Bakos, and Nancy Hermany; and two brothers, Frank and Ben DiBlasi.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in Mama Rose's life celebration from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Beck Givnish of Levittown, 7400 New Falls Road. Her funeral Mass and interment will take place in Hazelton, Pa.
