Florence E. Brudon
Florence E. Brudon, born October 5, 1920 in Langhorne, Pa., died April 12, 2008 at age 87 in Mt. Holly, N.J.
She was the daughter of Charles T. Brudon, Sr. and Mary Winner; sister of George W. and Charles T. Brudon, Jr., both deceased. She is survived by a nephew, Charles T. Brudon, III and his wife Sharon.
Florence graduated from Langhorne-Middletown High School in 1938 and West Chester State Teachers College in 1942. She taught physical education and general science, coached hockey and softball at Langhorne-Middletown High School for seven years. In 1949 she moved to Moorestown, N.J., and taught physical education at Moorestown Friends School until her retirement. At Moorestown Friends, Florence coached hockey, basketball and tennis. She started the Lacrosse program at Moorestown Friends in 1958; her team of 1980 won the Lacrosse State championship. She was inducted into New Jersey's Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1998.
Interment is private at Attleboro Cemetery, Richboro, Pa. A Memorial Service will be held at Moorestown Monthly Meeting House on May 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.
