Douglas G. Burt
Douglas G. Burt age 57, died at his home on April 3, 2008.
Born in Pittsburgh, Doug was a resident of Southampton. Doug was a graduate of Upper Merion High School and Pierce College. He was a self employed systems consultant. Doug served in the Air National Guard and the Air National Guard Reserve based in Willow Grove. A member of the Thomson Lodge No. 340 F&AM in Malvern. Doug was also a member of the Eagles Marching Band in the 60's and was an avid Flyer's fan. Doug enjoyed being an amateur magician, flying and obtaining his solo license, wine tasting and gourmet food, music and guiding friends through Philadelphia. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, compassionate friend and having a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife and best friend Karen A. (nee Darrah). His parents George H. and Emma Jean Burt. Brother of David C. Burt; and the late Janice Harbison.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service Saturday at 11 a.m. at the James J. McGhee Funeral Home, 2nd Street Pike and Belmont Avenue, Southampton. Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
