Stephen G. Retallick, 81, a retired machinist who lived at 2112 Lyndon Ave., died Thursday night at Hamilton Arms Nursing Center after a long illness.
Retallick retired in 1979 after 12 years with K-D Tool Co. Earlier, he worked for 30 years for the L. L. Beard Tool Co.
He and his wife, Ada Phillips Retallick, were married 33 years last July 14.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Harry B and Mary Altman Retallick.
Retallick enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and hunting.
He attained the rank of private first class in the U. S. National Guard, serving from 1933 to 1936.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Ronald S. of North East Md.; two daughters, Rose Marie, wife of Thomas Hemperly, and Diana, wife of Chester Priest, both of Lancaster; a stepson, Jennings Canfield of Lancaster; a stepdaughter, Frances, wife of Enos Kellenberger of New Providence; a sister, Mary Ressler of El Paso, Texas; 30 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
