Mercer E. Gibson, s/o William B. and Anna Maria (Eachus) Gibson, married Ellen Jordan Jan. 13, 1848. They were the parents of Anna Louise, William H. and Mercer Eachus Gibson. He died at the age of 28 and was buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery (at 21st and Diamond Streets, Philadelphia) and was reinterred at Lawnview Cemetery at a later date.
