Captain, Connecticut Militia, who commanded a company which turned out to repel the enemy at New Haven in 1779. (D.A.R. Lineage Books).

In "Conn. Men in the Rev. War" page 549 he is listed as Capt. Con Militia, and on page 625 "Capt. Daniel Lankton, 15th Conn. Militia Regt."

He was born in Farmington, Hartford, Conn. (Farmington was renamed to Southington)
He died in Southington, Hartford, Conn.
