Nancy M. Hames, 77 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at The Highlands Of Dyersburg in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Monday, January 10, 1938 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Luther Lewis Cooper and the late Valda Evelyn Hawks Cooper.
Mrs. Hames was a retired nurse, beautician, security guard for Dyersburg Fabrics, supporter of the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund and leader for TOPS # 431.
Graveside services will be 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee with Rev. Billy Tucker and Bro. Travis Davison officiating. Visitation will be Sunday fro 2:30 PM-3:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by two daughters, Gail Litchford and her husband, Jay and Barbara Jones and her husband, Albert all of Dyersburg, Tennessee; her daughter-in-law, Tanya Hames of Dyersburg, Tennessee; a nephew, Kevin Hicks and his wife, Rebecca of Newbern, Tennessee; thirteen grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Michael Lewis Hames one brother, Charlie Franklin Cooper and two sisters, Bess Westmoreland and Tavia Carolyn Hicks.
Pallbearers will be Heath Gray, Mark Mallory, John Wilson, Randy Hoffman, Ray Whitehead and Larry Smith.
The family ask that memorials be directed to the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund, P. O. Box # 1055, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38025-1055.
