William Gerrish of Oakfield a delegate to the Republican State Convention died suddenly at the Falmouth Hotel, Portland of appoplexy. He was a brother of Rev. Theo. Gerrish. He was a soldier in the late civil war and lost one leg in the service. He leaves a wife several sons and a daughter.
