His funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, at Stokesdale Christian Church with Rev. Carl Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A Guilford County native, Mr. Fulp was born on July 22, 1934, the son of the late Olen and Lucy Corum Fulp. He was a long-time member of Stokesdale Christian Church and a proud US Army veteran. He was retired from Gilbarco with 31 years service, and served for many years as a volunteer with the Stokesdale Fire Department. Bernard enjoyed working in his yard and raking leaves.
Surviving are his children Bernardine Prevette (Michael), Sandra Charles (Gary), Bernard Russell "BR" Fulp, II, and Joshua Fulp (Cindy) all of Stokesdale; a sister Joann Foster of Elkin; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ellen Kidd Fulp, daughter Margaret ‘Meg' Fulp, son Kelly Fulp, and sister Dawn Dalton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30 until 9 p.m.at Forbis & Dick Brooke Chapel.
