Robert Lee Phillips

Birth: Jun. 9, 1932
Death: Dec. 12, 1950

Robert was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Company M, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division.

He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy east of the Chosin Reservoir in North Korea on December 12, 1950 and was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains were never recovered.

His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.

Corporal Phillips was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, the Republic of Korea War Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
