Marguerite Miner passed away on April 5, 2000 at her home in Holladay, Utah.
She was born in Friend, Nebraska to William F. Weinerth and Elizabeth Ann Heinz.
Marge graduated from Judge Memorial High School in 1937. She later graduated from The Holy Cross School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse at L.D.S. Hospital, where she played center on the hospital basketball team, and for Doctors Leslie B. White and A. James McAllister until she retired. Marge married Linel Z. Miner on November 8, 1946.
They spent 19 happy years together.
The sudden death of her husband on November 22, 1965 left her to raise three teenagers on her own. Anyone who knew those teenagers knew Marge had her work cut out for her. She saw to it that her four children were provided with opportunities for an education and saw them through to successful careers.
She was survived by her four children, Betty Williams of Long Beach, California, Gene (Linda), Sandy, Bill (Leslie), Page, Arizona and Connie Saracino (Larry), Murray.
Marge also had 11 grandchildren, Jason, Bill, Brett, Seth, Mandi, Lynn, Matt, Jarred, Cindy, Larry and Alicia. She also had six great-grandchildren. Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn, her brother Donald Weinerth and her faithful dog, Gutter, who died a week earlier.
Friends and Relatives attended a viewing at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel located at 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy, Utah on Saturday, April 8, 2000 from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon.
Marguerite was laid to rest following the conclusion of the viewing at 12 Noon at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery next to her beloved husband.
