MRS. JOSEPH A. BICKLEY, 16 YEARS OLD, DIES OF MALADY ALREADY FATAL TO HER GRANDFATHER AND HER UNCLE

Mrs. Joseph A. Bickley died at her home, 1021 N. Forest Avenue, Chanute, Kansas, at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon of influenza, after having been ill but a few days.

The funeral services were held from the home at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon.

Mrs. Bickley was only 16 years old, having been born in this city Oct. 14, 1902, and living 16 years, 3 months, and 11 days.

She was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. William L. Dupuy, 506 W. Main Street, and her death was the third that has occurred in the Dupuy family in little more than 3 months, each of these deaths being from a diffent generation.

The first death in this series was that of her father's brother, Clyde Dupuy, 29 years old, who died October 18, last, of pneumonia following influenza.

Wednesday of the following week, her grandfather, Marius Dupuy, 69 years of age, and a pioneer here, died of pnemonia after having been ill but three days.

Mrs. Bickley's maiden name was Golda Dupuy.

She was married to Mr. Joseph A. Bickley Oct. 24, 1917 in Newton County, Missouri.

Besides her husband and her parents, she is survived by one sister, Miss Edna Dupuy, and also by other relatives and a host of friends.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.O. Wilson of the Christian Church.

Her husband, Mr. Bickley has been quite ill with the influenza and was still suffering from high fever when his wife died, but is reported to be improving.
