Funeral services for Jacob Stroh formerly of this city, whose death occurred at Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie, IA., will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Pilgrim Church on East Division Street. The pastor, rev. August Claus will officiate and burial will be in the Grand Island Cem. The body is expected to arrive from Council Bluffs this evening.

Funeral services for Jacob Stroh were held at 2 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon in the Pilgrim's church with the Pastor, Rev. August Claus conducting German services and Rev. E.C. Fordof the Congregational church officiating at the English services. Previously a prayer service for members of the family was held at the home of his brother, Henry Stroh, 312 south Oak street. A large number of friends were in attendance.
Jacob Stroh was born August 20, 1903 in Russia coming to Grand Island with his parents in 1912. He attended the public schools and after completing his education entered the employ of McGowen Co., a connection he maintained until 1927 when he moved to Council Bluffs, being engaged at the time of his death as assistant general manager of the Omaha branch of Underwood Typewriter Company. His efficiency and general nature won for him the admiration of his fellow employees and rapid advancement with the Underwood Company. Death occurred at Council Bluffs.
Surviving to mourn his passing are his mother, Mrs. Mary Stroh and a sister Miss Katherine both residing at Council Bluffs and his brother Henry of this city.
Burial was in Grand Island Cem. The messers, Henry Liebsack, Henry Kriger, Conrad Benner, Thomas McGowan, H.P. Zieg and Harold Anderson the latter of Omaha, serving as pallbearers
