Birth: Jun. 5, 1844
Death: Oct. 24, 1931

Civil War Confederate Soldier. With the onset of war in 1861, Drewry B. Easley was a seventeen year old student of Scottsburg, Virginia. He had dark hair that matched his dark complexion and stood a tad over 5 feet 7 inches tall. The Virginian lad "jine up" on April 29, 1861 and would experience victories, defeats and adversity as an infantryman of Company H, 14th Virginia Infantry. In his four years of faithful service to his state and country, Easley overcame typhoid fever at Williamsburg, wounds received at Seven Pines and imprisonment after the battles of Gettysburg and Five Forks. After his Oath of Allegiance on June 11, 1865, he renewed his life in Virginia, where in time he married his bride Mary Hubbard.
