Bloomingburg, Feb. 19 - On Thursday William L. Bennett died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Milton Wilkinson, at Roosa Gap. Mr. Bennett had been in ill health for several years but an attack of grip and pneumonia caused his death.

Mr. Bennett was 82 years old, having been born near Scotchtown, Orange county, on February 17, 1844. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Bennett. His wife has been dead for several years.

Mr. Bennett has been a resident of the Roosa Gap section for about 20 years. He was a member of the Rock Hill M. E. Church and the G. A. R.

The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the M. E. Church in this village, Rev. G. E. Wright officiating. Burial will be in Bloomingburg cemetery.

Note: Evidence suggests that Charlotte Lowerre was William's sister, not his daughter.
