She taught at San Bernardino Valley College for seven years. In 1945, she was appointed dean of women at Pomona Junior College and later taught at Pomona High School, retiring in 1963. She was elected president of the Associated Pomona Teachers and also served as clerk of the Pilgrim Congregational Church.
