J. W. Douglass, an old and well- known resident of this place, died last Thursday morning, December 22, 1910, after a lingering illness. The deceased was well liked by all who know him. He was the first Husband of Viola D. Douglass-Denning. Besides his children, he leaves a wife, several grandchildren and friends to mourn his loss.
The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Brown, of Estacada, Oregon. Interment took place Saturday in the Gibson Cemetery near Estacada. A large crowd of relatives and friends followed the remains to their last resting place. We extend our sympathy to the widow and children.
