Gerald Elvin, known as "Jerry", was the sixth child of Theron Octavius Llewellyn Rogers and Ingar Sophia Amelia "Millie" Mortensen. He was killed in World War II.
He was a B-24 bomber pilot with the 8th Army Air, 392 Bomb Crew, out of Wendling, England, 578 Bomb Squadron. His plane was called the "Bad Penny" but the plane he was flying on the day he was shot down was called "Double Trouble".
