Maurice "Reece" Sinquefield, 80, retired certified welder, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2006 at his residence in Southaven, MS. Services were held Sunday, May 14, 2006 at Horn Lake First Baptist Church with interment at Bethesda Cemetery in Senatobia.

Mr. Sinquefield is survived by his wife, Katheryn Houston Sinquefield of Southaven, MS; three daughters, Carolyn Barnes, Vivian Shackelford and Cindy Adams, all of Southaven, MS; a son, Hugh Sinquefield of Hernando, MS; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Luther Sinquefield Jr. of Senatobia, MS; and a sister, Emily Red of Sarah, MS.

He was born May 30, 1925 in Cottonville, MS to Annie Kate Yount Sinquefield and G.L. Sinquefield. He was a decorated World War II disabled veteran, a deacon of Horn Lake First Baptist Church for 50 years, and a Mason "York Rite". Memorials may be sent to Methodist Hospice in Memphis, Tenn., Horn Lake First Baptist Church or Church Road Baptist Church in Horn Lake, Miss.
