Death: Jun. 17, 2007
Salt Lake City

My Son Jim Coley was my firstborn. Oh what a beautiful baby he was. He had the most beautiful Brown eyes that when he looked at you it would melt your heart. He loved life and he lived it to the fullest until he started getting sick. It broke my heart to see all the pain that he went through for so many years. He finally had a son and they spent inseperable time together. He loved Draigh so very much and they had fantastic times together.
On the morning of Father's day his 6 year old son went to wake his daddy, and he would not wake up. My beautiful loveable son had passed away during the night. When I got the news it tore my heart apart. I lost part of me the day he died. I still miss his wonderful smile and his engulfing hug that I would always get when I would see him I miss you so very much Jim. You will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. Rest in Peace, until we meet again. Mom

This is a poem the mortuary put out for
Jim. It said it all.

I'm Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Oh yes, these things I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee.
God wanted me now, He set me free.

A Memory that Joy keeps with her always.
To you Jim: Love Joy
Jim and Joy's Anniversary is October 15th

If tears could build a stairway
And memories a lane-
I would walk right up to Heaven-
And bring you back again.

No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say "Goodbye"
You were gone before I knew it-
And only God knows why.

My heart still aches with sadness,
And secret tears will flow.
What it meant to love you,
No one can ever know.

But now I know you want me-
To mourn for you no more-
To remember all the happy times,
Life still has much in store.

Since you'll never be forgotten,
I pledge to you today-
A hollowed place within my hear-
Is where you'll always stay.

We are connected, my child and I,
By an invisible cord not seen by the eye.
It's not like the cord that connects us at birth.
This cord can't be seen by any on earth.
This cord does not work right from the start,
It binds us together, attached to my heart.
I know that it's there though no one can see,
This invisible cord, from my child to me.
The strength of this cord, It's hard to describe.
It can't be destroyed, It can't be denied.
It's stronger then any cord man could create.
It withstands the test, can hold any weight.
And though you are gone and you're not here with me.
The cord is still there, but no one can see.
It pulls at my heart, I am bruised, I am sore,
But this cord is my lifeline, as never before.
I'm thankful that God connects us this way,
A mother and child...Death can't take it away.
