Hugo Theodore Clawes was the son of August and Anna Clawes born Feruary 1 1876 in Hamburg Germany. He immigrated to US when about 5 in 1882 from Germany with his parents August and Anna Theile Clawes and his younger 3 year old brother Richard August Clawes. Hugo was 21 when he married Julia Gamboni Clawes 21, on July 3 1897 in Chicago Illinois. He became a US Citizen in 1912 when he was 36. He was an electrician contractor nd she a house wife. They were parents of 1 child daughter Frances Anne Winholt. Son in-law Ernest Winholt. They were grandparents of Alan Winholt, Donald Winholt, Marjorie Reich, Eileen Winholt, and Frances Winholt. They were a very close family all living together as of the 1930 US Census along with his father August who had been widowed for 11 years. Hugo was 70 when died August 23 1946. Saying close as always Julia 71, would follow him just 5 months later on February 2 1847. They had been married for 49 years. They are buried in Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park, Illinois.
