* The Official roster of the soldiers of the American Revolution buried in the state of Ohio states that he was a Pvt under Capt Shenard, Col Chambers. In battles at Millstone Creek and Monmouth. Born November 15, 1756, Sussex Co., N. J. Married Hannah Lee, 1789. Children: Eliahs, John, William, Amos, Daniel and Stephen. Died in Oct 1832 in Pickaway Co., Ohio. Buried Coleman Hill Cemetery, Pickaway County, Ohio.

* Gulicks of the U.S.A. : 1961, has his death date listed as Jun 4, 1832 with additional children: Jessie, Mary (Polly), Anna and Rhoda. With Pension application filed for October 27, 1832. Later states he may have died in 1832 or 1836.

*The Pickaway County listing for Coleman Hill Cemetery in their publication of cemeteries in Muhlenberg Township lists his death in 1836. They describe him as receiving a VA Land warrent #2586 for his service in the Revolutionay War, Pvt-Capt Shenard Co.


*** Hill Cemetery sits on private land and has been abandoned. Most tombstones are damaged or missing. Ferdinand's tombstone could not be located on a visit there about 10 years ago.
