*According to Mrs. Kinnaird's application for military pension, George died on 14 June 1922.

Doctor G. W. Kinnaird lived to be 80 years old.
He was the son of Moses and Mary "Polly" Lack Kinnaird.
Burial place of Moses is believed to be in Putnam County, Tennessee, with Mary and many of their family moving to Texas following his death.

George married Sarah Bullington in 1859 in Tennessee. They made their home in the Putnam County, TN area at least until 1870 when they appeared in the census there. By 1880 they were residing in Wise County, Texas.

According to military records, George enlisted in the Confederate States Army on 31 July 1861 in Livingston, Tennessee, joining the 25th Regiment Tennessee Infantry.

He was promoted to Captain 31 Aug 1863 in Co. F of the 25th.

George and Sarah had no children. The last few years of their lives they resided in the home for aged Masons in Arlington, Texas, until their deaths.

George W. Kinnaird has been frequently confused by researchers on ancestry.com as George B. Kinnaird. George B. was George W.'s uncle, a brother to his father Moses.
