From the earthly book of
Robert Lee Jackson - Chapter 61, Verse 6
For may we all remember the day, when a modest man entered into our lives. His divine spirit touched our minds and hearts, and he filled us with kindness, laughter, and delight. Amen
Robert Lee Jackson was called to divine service by our Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 12, 2013. Tribute is bestowed to a deacon, husband, father, educator, jack-of-all trades, and friend.
Robert was born on Sunday, June 8, 1952 to Albert Jackson and Rosa Lee Middlebrooks Jackson. He was educated in Houston County where he played track and football. He completed his Bachelors at Fort Valley State. On January 03, 1974, Robert married Feddie Zeigler and remained married for 40 years. The couple resided in Kathleen, Georgia and were blessed with two sons, Marvin and Reginald. Robert worked at Atlanta Journal and Constitution Distribution Center of Perry for 20 years. He worked as a teacher (history, social studies) at Northside Middle School of Warner Robins for 30 years and retired in 2006.
As a youth, Robert accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined the Sandbed Baptist Church. As a dedicated member, in June 1985, he was ordained as a deacon under Reverend David E. Savage. He continued his faith and heavenly duties as a member and deacon of New Hope Baptist in 2007 under Pastor Dennis Harden.
While his presence and fellowship shall be missed, Robert leaves behind several charges to keep: 1. you must be willing to give in order to receive, 2. compassion for others is a must, and 3. devotion to faith is a fruitful endeavor. Deacon Jackson understood the secret to receiving God's love and giving it away to others. For when he sung his favorite spiritual Dressing Up Room, Robert knew his works on this earth prepared him for his arrival before God to receive his crown of glory.
Robert's life and memory was honored at New Hope Baptist, arranged by Richardson Funeral Home, and laid to rest at Parkway Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, December 17, 2013.

3. Robert's plot number is 27 = 3 to the 3rd power, C = 3rd letter of the alphabet, and spot #3.
Three, according to the gospel, signifies completion or perfection, and unity.
Robert's spiritual union with Christ made it possible to have his powers engage to do his Master's will. And according to God's will, his works here on Earth were complete.
Robert Jackson would tell his sons that they should not hold on to their money and never spend it. He would say to them if you hold on to your money so tightly in your hand, nothing can get out but also nothing can get in. His guidance to his children applies across the board in life. When you refuse to share of yourself to others, you may feel well guarded or protected but you are also not allowing anyone or anything in that will enrich your life.
