Mrs. Amanda Carson, of the West End, who has been a sufferer from cancer of the face for some time, is in very critical condition and her death seems to be a question of a very short time. Her suffering is most intense, so much so that both her eyes have bursted. The good woman has much sympathy in her great trouble.

After months of suffering, good old Mrs. W. J. Carson passed into the great beyond Tuesday and she was buried in the Hustonville cemetery Wednesday afternoon in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing friends. A cancer of the face was her trouble and the suffering she endured was great indeed. Being a model christian woman, however, she murmured not but bore it all, believing it was for the best. Two children survive Mrs. Carson, Mrs. Dayton and Mr. J. K. Carson.
