Kenny K. Allred, 45, of Gunnison, Utah, passed away May 1, 2006, from an auto accident near painted rocks between Gunnison and Nephi. He was born November 18, 1960, in Salt lake City, Utah, to Kirk and Beverly Squire Allred. He married Dawn Marie Kiester, in Elko, Nevada, on November 12, 1982. Kenny was a union Ironworker for 26 years and took great pride in his work and in the craft. He made so many friends along the way and cherished those friendships deeply. He has in some way impacted many of your lives without you even knowing. From the bridges you drive on near Richfield, thru Utah County and in Salt Lake. To the pedestrian bridges you walk on in Las Vegas and the Olympic Bridge at the University of Utah. He also hung iron in the BYU practice facility and set the sphere on top of the new LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake. He has also worked on numerous power plants in Utah, Wyoming and Nevada. Kenny loved his family and every moment spent with them. Some of our most memorable times were family get togethers. He loved hunting, camping and anything in the mountains. But he also loved his time at home and just relaxing. He loved NASCAR and going to the races in Las Vegas each year. He had a way of making you laugh when you were having a bad day. Kenny was a wonderful husband and a great father. He was always happiest with his girls. His family meant the world to him. Some might say that he is in a better place, but right here with his family is truly where he would want to be right now. My mom couldn't have gotten a better dad for me. She did a great job finding him as a life companion and I will forever be grateful that I had him to call dad. He will be greatly missed by all and those words could never describe how much he will be missed. He survived by his wife, Dawn, Gunnison; daughter, Shaunna (Travis) Vincent, Richfield; mother, Beverly Allred, Kearns; brothers, Clark (Robin) Allred, Kearns; Darell (Teresa) Allred, Magna; Lawrence (Dannie) Allred, Farmington; Buddy (Sheila) Allred, Kearns; Alan (Tammy) Allred, Wellington; mother and father-in-law, Darlene and Richard Kiester, Sheridan, WY and McKinney, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Kirk; brother, Beck; and a niece, Tina Denise Allred . Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. in the Gunnison Stake Center. Friends may call at the Gunnison Stake Center on Thursday from 6-7 p.m. Additional services will be held Friday, May 5, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. in the Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary 6500 S. Redwood Rd., West Jordan. Friends may call at Redwood Memorial on Friday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
