Horace (Grandpap) to me and others was born March 11, 1911 In Kenwood, PA to Layton and Ossieola Meekins Lowman. He was one out of 10 children.
He married Estelle Simpson Oct. 24, 1936 in Dixonville, Pa. He was survived by his wife and seven children.
Horace loved being in his greenhouse or in the woods . I remember telling him lunch was ready one day and he looked so happy just sitting there in the trees with nature.
He was a veteran of WWII.
