Services are 2 p:m. Saturday at Christ's Lutheran Church in Davenport with the Rev. Dennis Sylte officiating. Burial will be in Davenport City Cemetery at Davenport.
Mr. Keim was born June 11, 19l5, to William and Lula (Miller) Keim in rural Davenport. He graduated from Davenport High School.
He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with
a bachelor's degree in agromony.
He attended Rutgers University for four years. During World War II he joined the War Production Board in Washington, allocating potash. He worked for the Potash Institute,
was western sales manager and agronomist for the Potash Co. of America in Des Moines, Iowa, and western agronomist for the Virginia Carolina Chemical in Belleville,Ill.
In 1951 he transferred to Richmond Headquarters as head agronomist when Mobile Chemical bought Virginia Carolina Chemical. He joined Great Salt Lake Minerals and
Chemicals in Odgen, Utah, as eastern sales manager and agronomist.
He retired in 1965. He married Katharine Shawyer Sept 14, 1941.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Richmond where he served as deacon and sang in the choir. He was the first president of the Virginia Fertilizer Association
and was active in many agronomic organizations.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Lon William of Omaha and Roger Alan of Ashland, Va.; one sister, Wyona Hoyt of Benkelman; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one bother.
