Robert served as a Private First Class, 2nd Ranger Battalion, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Trumbull County, Ohio prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on July 17, 1942 at Fort Hayes, Columbus, Ohio. He was noted as being employed as a Driver and also as Single, without dependents.

Robert was "Killed In Action" in France on D-Day during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Service # 15078906

This record is a "Cenotaph" in his honor.

Robert is interred in the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in Normandy, France.
